It has been 3 years since Fleetwood Mac took to the stage e to share their music. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees, Fleetwood Mac last toured in 2009 as part of the sold out Unleashed tour.
There were no mosh pits at this event… The audience was a mix of young and old, focused on the musical journey of a band that has stood the test of time. It was a good turnout, with over 12,000 in attendance.
The current Fleetwood Mac lineup includes Mick Fleetwood and John McVie – both original members since 1967, and Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks who joined the band in 1975.

The one thing that has changed is that Fleetwood Mac has moved with the times. Celebrating the 35th anniversary of the classic Rumours album (1977), a new deluxe edition is now available via iTunes, introducing yet another chapter in the legacy of this long established band.
As the evening progresses, the crowd remains on it’s feet. Playing, Rhiannon provide an opportunity for Stevie Nicks to showcase her amazing vocal talent; while Lindsey Buckingham takes advantage of the time between songs to share a bit of history regarding the songs they have played over the years, and provides insight into the music business, which helps explain how that have stood the test of time.
An hour in, the crowd has settled in for the evening’s entertainment. The band takes advantage of the opportunity to play some of their favorite songs. The crowd responds with a standing ovation.
There were a few sign-along moments as the band played some old favorites. Playing Never Going Back Again brings yet another standing ovation.
Stevie Nicks draped in a gold shawl during Gold Dust, with images depicting a woman drawing gold in the background, makes an impression on the audience.
In So Afraid, Lindsey Buckingham goes into an epic guitar solo, moving to the edge of the stage and drawing members of the audience to join in.
Needless to say, the crowd wanted more and the band responded, starting into Go Your Own Way to bring the crowd to its feet once again.
In summary, this was a great evening; reminiscing for some, educating for other; and culminating in an evening of entertainment for all.
