Fête des Neiges de Montréal is into its second of four weekends, and there’s still time to take part in the festivities. Held on Île Sainte-Hélène at Parc Jean-Drapeau, this is a mainly family-oriented event with activities for all ages, including a “Himalaya” zip-line, an ice-skating path through the park, and a gigantic, live “foosball” table (where participants are attached to horizontal poles as in a regular foosball table).
In addition, DJs and live music performances round out afternoon and evening entertainment. Upcoming highlights include “boot hockey” games (one featuring les Cowboys Fringants and Georges Laracque, among others), and a skate with Youppi and Montreal Canadiens Alumni.
The festival runs for the next two weekends until Februrary 9. More information can be found athttp://www.parcjeandrapeau.com/events/fete-des-neiges-de-montreal/
