Once again this year, Grande Premiere, the fashion event that introduces the latest creations from Richard Robinson to the world, was presented in the majestic ballroom of the Hilton Lac Leamy, which was filled to capacity for the occasion. This is not only a fashion show, it is an opportunity for the social elite, the fashionistas and the person on the street to be meet and interact like no other event in the nation’s capital.

The 2012 collection provides classic black and white  designs for men and women with personality and edge. The children’s wear in polka dots and stripes, and modelled by Mr. Robinson’s grandchildren was a crowd favourite

The evening also provides a platform for designers and couturiers attending the Richard Robinson Fashion Design Academy to showcase their latest designs; offering original and creative pieces that combine chic and wearable designs with innovation ranging from wedding gowns, risqué lace lingerie, tartan inspired creations, to goth originals. The range of design and the mood of the evening changed with each collection. Myriam Giroux stood out with designs that included an elegant floor-lenght evening gown in black lace. Stephanie Ross was the audience and judges favourite.

Needless to say, the event was a resounding success.
