Montreal- It’s two times unlucky for Manitoba skip Chelsea Carey, as one evening after losing 5-4 to Rachel Homan, crashing her throw into her own guard stone, Carey lost in Saturday’s semifinal 6-5 to Alberta’s Val Sweeting. While Carey evened the score in the 10th and forced an extra end, this gave Alberta the hammer, and Sweeting took full advantage to end a tight matchup.

Sweeting will take on Rachel Homan and her undefeated Team Canada Squad. She will be hoping that history repeats itself in a way, as Homan’s 2013 tournament win came against a Jennifer Jones squad which was undefeated going into last year’s final.

Carey will be fighting for Bronze Sunday against Stefanie Lawton of Saskatchewan, who lost her match against Sweeting earlier on Saturday.
