The Oshawa Generals came on strong with a goal scored by Joe Manchrek (29) at 1;50 in the first. The assist went to Scott Laughton (21) and Michael Dal Colle (71).
Less than five minutes later, it was Josh Sterk (20) who would get the puck past Ottawa 67s goalie Philippe Trudeau. Once again, Michael Dal Colle (71) gets the assist along with Cole Cassels(19).
The Generals taking a penalty for too many men on the ice at 12 minutes did not help the 67s. A penalty by Ottawa’s Taylor Fielding (36) for checking from behind took away any chance of a 67s push. After killing the first penalty, a second penalty for goalie interference enabled Josh Sterk(20) to score his second goal of the period with the assist going to Scott Laughton (21) and Michael Dal Colle (71). The shot count at the end of the first period was 19 to 6 for the Generals.
A series of penalties in the second period did not help the 67’s. At the end of the second period, the Generals were leading 6-0.
In the third, the 67’s tried to redeem themselves by scoring a goal, but the Generals retaliated with yet another, ending the game with a score of 7-1. The Generals celebrated another victory and remain top in their division, with a strong lead over the challengers from Kingston.
